A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the Devisser Family of Holland Mi. I was put into contact with Linda Devisser through a project I was working on for the new Downtown office of Harbor Health and Massage. I needed them for a “Hands” project that we were creating for the lobby of Harbor Health. The Devisser’s are four generations of women that I wanted to photograph for this project all hand in hand for a large wall portrait. Once we were done with our “Hands” session Linda asked of we could take a few shots with all of the girls. I was more than happy to work with such a lovely group of women and I began arranging the ladies in various poses as requested byt each of the families. I was going for a classic portrait mixed with a little edgy lighting. Once I finished I knew I had some very cool images.
The Laketown Golf and Conference Center Wedding Show
Junebug Photography will be attending The Laketown Golf and Conference Center Wedding Show this Saturday and they have asked us to do a bag stuffer for the show. I have done coupons before and other silly trinket things as bag stuffers, but this year I thought I would go all out. I called my friends at GLA and asked them about some cool proof boxes and they were quick to set me in the right direction. I ordered 7 cases of these really cool black boxes with fat white stitching on them. I then created a $200 print credit to be a value added cover for the brides. Once I had these elements in place I went to the Holland Peanut Store and talked with Paula about a cost effective treat to stuff into the boxes and there you have it. My kids (Samantha, Justin, and Sophia) went to task and assembled the whole box and arranged all the treats inside.
A really cool way to WOW a bride. See you all at the show!
The Van Halen Kid
Grace and her Mom came to Junebug Photography last week to have some Portraits created. I was told by Kimberly “Mom” that Grace would not cooperate, as she is a very serious little girl when it comes to having her photo taken. Well, after a few attempts and Grace warming up a bit she unlocked her smile and brought it out for all to see. She really warmed up when her Mother suggested we rock out with a little classic Van Halen. This kid has moves when Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth were jamming “Panama and Jump” though the Junebug Photography entertainment system. So much fun!
Alyssa from Zeeland
It was a cold and frosty night when Alyssa and her mother Patti from Zeeland Mi visited Junebug Photography for a Senior Session. They had searched around the web for the longest time before a co-worker of Patti’s recommended Junebug Photography. When we spoke on the phone Patti told me about Alyssa and her style. She wanted some edgy shots, fun and flirty, and a shopping/reading portrait. I think we nailed it.
